Lace-to-toe runs the eyelets all the way down, letting you tighten or relieve pressure across the entire top of the foot. Loggers favor it because it locks the heel back and stops the foot sliding forward on descents.

Can it be resoled?

Yes. Leather welt construction stitches the Vibram® outsole to the upper rather than bonding it, so a cobbler can replace it when the tread wears down. On a logger the sole almost always wears out before the leather does, which makes this the feature that decides the boot's lifespan.

Why choose a composite toe over steel?

Both meet the same ASTM F2413 impact and compression thresholds. Composite weighs less and transfers far less cold, which you notice at the toe cap on a winter morning. Steel is thinner, so it preserves slightly more toe-box room at the same size.

Is it insulated?

The CA7522 is uninsulated, which makes it comfortable across three seasons — and the composite toe stays warmer than steel when the temperature drops.

How long does the waterproofing last?

The SCUBALINER™ is a sealed membrane rather than a surface coating, so it doesn't wash off. Conditioning the leather and keeping the seams clean is what keeps it working over the life of the boot.

https://uverlookboots.com/products/carolina-mens-8-comp-toe-waterproof-logger-work-boots-brown-ca7522
